ABOUT ME
I’m Rebecca Hansel, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, serving clients in the Echo Park area. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University, and I have worked with teens and adults on a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.
I practice neuroaffirming, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and work with many clients who have spent years masking, overfunctioning, or feeling misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I am passionate about integrating this approach into my practice to help clients process trauma, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. Becoming a therapist was a natural path for me, shaped by my own transformative experiences with therapy and a passion for holistic healing. My personal journey revealed the profound impact that compassionate, integrative care can have on mental and emotional well-being, inspiring me to help others find their path to healing and growth. Holistic healing involves looking at all aspects of a person’s well-being, including mental, emotional, and physical health.
I am dedicated to helping others navigate their paths to well-being, honoring each individual's unique needs and experiences. This comprehensive approach helped me, and now I aim to provide the same level of care to my clients, focusing on practical tools and strategies to improve overall health, emotional regulation, and resilience.
